Cooking at 43° North Presents: Bread Baking Basics

Making yeast breads can appear daunting but it really doesn’t have to be. It does take some patience and time, yet the final product–a warm loaf of home-baked bread–is definitely worth it. Guided by an experienced baker, we’ll go through the steps (and identify how to deal with the pitfalls) that will bring you success. Learn about proofing the yeast, making a starter, rising, kneading, and baking your bread. Soon store-bought bread will be a thing of your past! Space is limited.
