Dear HAH Volunteers:
Brrrr. After our long, lovely fall, we have turned the corner for sure. Soup’s onthe stove; the garden has been put to bed; holiday music wafts through thestores.
The Harpswell Aging at Home Steering Committee has an autumn exerciseevery year: to update our Strategic Plan by analyzing what went well in theprevious 12 months and what we need to add or change for the upcoming seasons. It’s always a thoughtful process and always there are surprises.
We all voiced pride in the 10th anniversary and the cumulative results in mealsserved, repairs made, miles driven and services provided over the pastdecade. We’ve vowed in the next year to have more in-person meetings, toinvestigate new ways to meet the mental health needs around us, to improveour organizational structure and work on leadership succession and support.Big goals but doable and we can only do them with your help.
