Cooking at 43° North Presents: Six of One, Half Dozen of Another, A Guide to Food Substitutions

What do you do when you’re making supper and you discover you’re missing an ingredient (or two)? What happens if an unexpected guest shows up for dinner and they are lactose- or gluten-intolerant? This workshop provides you with some great answers. Knowing what you might use and already have on hand when a recipe ingredient is unavailable can be a great help. Share ideas and taste test a number of recipes comparing those made with traditional ingredients with ones using substitutions.
