Plus meet some dogs from Maine Paws for Vets who are specially trained as Veteran service animals. Wonder what current Army troops are eating? Come sample MRE’s plus enjoy a tasty lunch of chili\, cornbread and dessert\, which is guaranteed to be a step up from mess hall chow. DESCRIPTION:Meals in a Pinch runs every other Tuesday and provides four meals to some of our Harpswell neighbors for a variety of reasons. Some are not able to consistently prepare meals because of health\, ability\, or mobility; others have difficulty obtaining food for practical or financial reasons. There is no income qualification–only a recognition that we all need some support at times. Whether an ongoing situation or a temporary need–like after a surgery or illness–Harpswell Aging at Home has meals available. Emergency meals can even be provided on the same day if necessary. DESCRIPTION:It’s that wonderful time of year again. Join Cooking at 43° North for its annual cookie swap. Who doesn’t like a tasty holiday cookie with a hot beverage of choice? We sure do. Make 4 dozen of your favorite festive cookies\, pack 4 to a package and include a recipe. If weather permits\, bring a chair\, a hot drink and we’ll do a little sampling…yum.
