DESCRIPTION:Cooking for Crowds is specifically designed for those who are cooking for non-profit functions. Learn up-to-date methods for safely preparing\, handling and serving food for large group functions such as soup kitchens\, church events\, food pantries and community fundraisers. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance from the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Service. Cooks from other organizations are welcome by paying the $15 fee to attend.

DESCRIPTION:Meals in a Pinch runs every other Tuesday and provides four meals to some of our Harpswell neighbors for a variety of reasons. Some are not able to consistently prepare meals because of health\, ability\, or mobility; others have difficulty obtaining food for practical or financial reasons. There is no income qualification–only a recognition that we all need some support at times. Whether an ongoing situation or a temporary need–like after a surgery or illness–Harpswell Aging at Home has meals available. Emergency meals can even be provided on the same day if necessary.
