Tables of contributed vegetables are set up each Wednesday at noon from June-October for folks to come and grab a few veggies. If you will use them\, come get some. Local gardeners can leave excess vegetables for others as well. What a great way to share summer’s bounty! This program is co-sponsored by the Harpswell Community Garden\, Merrymeeting Gleaners\, Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program\, and Harpswell Aging at Home.

SUMMARY:Meals in a Pinch
DESCRIPTION:Meals in a Pinch runs every other Tuesday and provides four meals to some of our Harpswell neighbors for a variety of reasons. Some are not able to consistently prepare meals because of health\, ability\, or mobility; others have difficulty obtaining food for practical or financial reasons. There is no income qualification–only a recognition that we all need some support at times. Whether an ongoing situation or a temporary need–like after a surgery or illness–Harpswell Aging at Home has meals available. Emergency meals can even be provided on the same day if necessary.
